Wellington City’s Specialised Reformer Pilates Studio

Thrive Pilates does things differently. Respecting the key Pilates principles  (core control, alignment, precision, axial elongation, breathing, concentration, and  movement integration), Thrive will enhance your Pilates experience with a CONTEMPORARY twist.

Our skilled instructors incorporate a background of circus, health science, aerobic training, and passionate work ethic to make you stronger, leaner and more flexible.

We have something to offer EVERYBODY, from those new to exercise to professional athletes. Beyond the basics, be prepared for challenging, full-body workouts that will wake up those dormant muscles! 

One class will sow the seed but CONSISTENCY is key for best results. A recommended minimum of two to three sessions per week is achievable with Thrive's attractively-priced small group classes.  

Services

  • Small Group Reformer Classes

    The pilates reformer is a specialised piece of equipment allowing clients to perform hundreds of low impact exercises giving you a safe, total body workout. Using resistance, the reformer facilitates strength building while elongating, rather than bulking muscles.

    Maximum 8 clients per class.

    Classes are 45 minutes.

  • Private Classes

    There are many reasons you may like to take advantage of our private classes. Whatever these may be, we are happy to accommodate you. Private classes may consist of reformer, mat and small prop work.

    Classes are 50 minutes.

  • Semi Private Classes

    Share Pilates with your favourite peeps. You can get the perks of a private class for just $55 each!

    Max 3 clients per class.

  • Pregnancy Pilates

    Pregnancy Pilates

    Pregnancy beautiful, exciting, life-changing, but also tricky. One part that’s full of unknowns and confusion? How to safely move your body.

    We have taken the guess work out for you. Reformer Pilates is a safe, low impact form of exercise. When performed mindfully and with precision, Pilates can develop strength, flexibility and help alleviate pregnancy discomforts. As well, you will spend 5 weeks with the same clients in your group class so this is a great way to share your journey and bond with other women going through a similar life experience. All this makes Reformer Pilates the ideal exercise for pre and post natal women.

    These classes are purchased as 5 week blocks.

  • Floor Fusion

    Combining mat Pilates, body weight strength exercises and active flexibility, this class will have you feeling strong through all different ranges of motion. If you have any particular movement goals, this is a great setting to get tailored support.

    Join Laura for some fabulous floor conditioning. Expect to get a bit of a sweat on, but feel very satisfied.

    This is a class for all levels. Students will be supported to move at their own pace and given progressions that are appropriate for where they’re at.
