What excites Laura about teaching is that everyone, no matter what age or level of experience, can discover new ways of moving in their body.

  • Joy

Joy is so excited to work with and learn from the Pilates community of Wellington! She grew up in the mountains of North Carolina where her relationship to intentional movement began while studying Theatre Performance at University.

Joy is a Balanced Body Comprehensive Certified Instructor and has work experience in both studio and physiotherapy settings.

She has seen how cultivating a caring relationship with our bodies is a transformative experience and is eager to support anyone wanting this awareness.

When not in the studio Joy can be found curled up with a good book, experimenting in the kitchen, or off on an adventure.

Melissa found Pilates 15 years ago! Along with reformer training, she has recently completed a Stott Mat Pilates course.

With a background of teaching movement and group fitness, including Zumba for over 11 years, adding Pilates to her teaching repertoire made total sense.

Melissa has a thorough history of dance and performance since the age of five so movement really is her jam! For her, Pilates was a great way to manage some pesky injuries from all her jumping around on stage and really promotes the use of Pilates for injury prevention.
